There is a dynamic interaction between a work of art, the viewer, and the context in which the art is experienced. It goes beyond simply viewing or possessing art to encompass the emotional, intellectual, and sensory responses that art evokes.
Art is an experience. Meaning, each artist has their own unique voice, each work of art tells a story, and each viewer brings their own background, beliefs, and experiences when they view a work of art. The same piece of art can elicit vastly different responses from joy and awe to melancholy and introspection. This personal connection moves us deeper in our engagement and understanding of each work of art.
In Gallery 366, Every Work of Art Tells a Story.
We look forward to sharing our passion for meaningful art with you!

An esteemed Minneapolis artist and musician at the turn of the century, Pauline Kruger Hamilton went on to be the Habsburg’s court photographer in Vienna, Austria prior to World War I.
Since her death in 1918, her unique story and original photographs were closely held by family: the Kruger & Jane Libbey Family Archive.
This book, which contains over 100 of Pauline Kruger Hamilton’s previously unseen photos from that time, is intended to share her unique story and finally give Pauline her rightful place as a highly accomplished female photographer.
Enjoy wine, water, and light snacks and a short talk by editor and co-author, Jim Gerlich, at 4pm followed by book signing.
Books and a selection of photo reproductions are available in Gallery 366.
